Overview
The Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) program at the MEW School of Leadership stands as the pinnacle of academic achievement, carrying a rich legacy dating back to the 12th century. In today's world, where only a fraction, approximately under 0.1% of the global population, hold this esteemed qualification, the DBA remains a symbol of prestige and expertise.
At the MEW School of Leadership, we take pride in offering this esteemed program in collaboration with our esteemed partner institutions.
Program Overview:
Duration: 2 Years
Total ECTS: 180
Supervision and Monitoring:
Upon embarking on the DBA journey at the MEW School of Leadership, students enrol in a structured 3-year program, although slight adjustments in the timeline may occur. Each student is assigned Principal and Second Supervisors based on their subject specialization. Additionally, a dedicated Departmental DBA Coordinator is appointed to provide overarching academic and pastoral support, overseeing various aspects such as induction, supervision, progression, and examination.
Regular meetings with supervisors are scheduled monthly, during which students are required to complete, sign, and submit meeting records for review. These records are then evaluated by the supervisory team and filed for assessment. Progress is closely monitored through Thesis Committee meetings held at the end of the first and second years. During these meetings, students present their progress and receive feedback to ensure satisfactory advancement.
Progress of Program:
The DBA program is divided into two segments, both running concurrently:
Segment 1: In this segment, emphasis is placed on taught modules, providing a structured framework for skill and knowledge development essential for doctoral-level research. Throughout the first year, students engage in a series of modules, each spanning a two-month period and accompanied by webinars. These modules not only facilitate skill enhancement but also foster critical thinking and reflection, laying a robust foundation for research endeavors.
Segment 2: Running parallel to Segment 1, the Segment 2 focuses on research and write-up leading to the submission of the DBA thesis. Key milestones include:
- 6 months: Extended Research Proposal (ERP) submission and Literature Review Chapter(s) Draft.
- 6-9 months: Submission of Research Methodology Chapter Draft, Data collection and analysis, Submission of Findings and Analysis Chapter(s) Draft.
- 9-12 months: Submission of Discussion, Conclusions and Recommendations, and Introduction Chapter Drafts, Final write-up, and Viva Exam.
Student Support and Ethics:
At the MEW School of Leadership, student well-being and academic integrity are paramount. A robust support system is in place to address grievances or concerns, with the Departmental DBA Coordinator serving as the primary point of contact. Additionally, adherence to research ethics and integrity is emphasized, with students required to obtain ethical approval before commencing research activities.
Research integrity is upheld as a cornerstone of the program, with misconduct strictly prohibited to maintain the highest standards of academic excellence and credibility.
Through rigorous supervision, comprehensive modules, and ethical guidelines, the DBA program at the MEW School of Leadership prepares students to excel as scholars and leaders in academia and industry.
